Bees Game

Dusty, Jack and I went with some friends to the Bees game last night. It was a really good game! But, the Bees did lose. They were tied for a while and then someone hit a home run - bummer...
Jack was so excited at the beginning of the game, but by the end he was ready to go home!!! It was a long game but we had a great time.

Jack played his last t-ball game on Tuesday night. He really loves playing and he is a really good player. We are so proud of him! Great job Jack...

All Star Game!

For those of you who don't know me very well, I LOVE baseball. It has been a love of mine since I was little. Since my dad didn't have any boys, I was raised loving baseball and loving the Atlanta Braves. Last night Dusty and I watched the 2008 All Star Game and what a game it was! It went for 15 innings and to our dismay, the AL won! (we were shooting for the NL.)

game winning run

It was a great game - watching the best in baseball play each other. And, my beloved Chipper Jones got a hit in the second inning (one of only two players who got a hit in the first two innings). I told Bree to say "Go Chipper" and she said "Go Chipper Jones". Dusty was not impressed that she knew who he was but I was a very proud mother!

Chipper Jones

During the pre-game activities, they introduced 40 hall of famers, many that I grew up watching like Tony Gwynn, Ozzie Smith, Wade Boggs and Ryne "Ryno" Sandberg- and also hall of famers that my dad grew up watching like Yogi Berra, Willie Mays and Hank Aaron. It was so neat to watch!

Yogi Berra

Hank Aaron (played for the Braves!)

And, just a side note... this guy is amazing!! The night before the All Star Game was the Home Run Derby (which Dusty and I also watched!). Josh Hamilton hit 28 homers in the first round - AMAZING! He didn't end up winning which we were sad about, but it was so fun to watch!

Great Idea...

So, I found this blog (from Today's Creative Blog) that has the BEST tutorial for car trash bags. They are adorable. And, since I just spent A LOT of money to get my car cleaned and detailed, I think I just might make a few:)
Anyways, her blog is http://thirtyhandmadedays.blogspot.com/, and it is under the July 1st post. Check it out - I loved it!!

I Guess It's Time...

Well, I really have been putting off this announcement... but, Dusty and I are having a baby - ahhh! He seems very excited and I'm still trying to soak it in. If I wasn't completely sick ALL the time, it would probably be easier:)
We are into week 14 so we still have a long way to go. The baby is due on the 7th of January (or sooner - from what the doctor says). I swore I would never have another winter baby, but here we go again.
Things have been a little rough the past few months, but I am hoping they will start to get better. I thought by week 12 I would magically feel perfect - no such luck!! But, soon - I have hope.
Anyways, thanks to all of our friends who have been so supportive. We really love all of you and are so thankful to have you in our lives. And, if we still had our scanner hooked up I would post a picture of the baby - I'll try to post at our next ultrasound.

Fireworks!

We had dinner and fireworks at Kelly and Christy's home (THANK YOU!) for our 4th of July celebrations. It was the first year we have been able to go because I have always had to go to the Stadium of Fire (my girls performed there) and I was so glad I didn't have to go this year!
We had a lot of fun, and the kids loved it. Thanks for having us over. We look forward to next year:)

Bree's night is over - she couldn't stay awake!

4th of July

We were supposed to go to a cabin with some good friends of ours Thursday and Friday, but Dusty had rehearsal Thursday night so we couldn't go. Well, I was so sick of staying home that I made reservations at a hotel in Park City - just to get out of the house!! In the end, Dusty ended up NOT going to rehearsal so we had a fun night with the kids in Park City. They enjoyed swimming the most even though it was torture for me and Dusty. Then we went to main street and ate some ice cream. We tried going to the parade on Friday, but it was SO crazy! We ended up going bowling instead. Bree beat us all at bowling!!

I'll add another post of our night activities so this one doesn't get too long...

Summer Fun

Last weekend my husband went camping (to a cabin - is that really camping?) with his best friends, so on Saturday the wives and kids got together at our house for a swim party and lunch. It was so fun getting together and just talking. I really have missed hanging out with these girls! When I was working, I was always so busy - but now we have seen them 3 times in 2 weeks - definitely a record!! And we love it!
Anyways, here are a few picts of the kids swimming. They had a blast. Thanks Christy, Shelley and Kim for a fun day:)
