No Clean Clothes...

So, have you ever had to take clothes out of your "For Christmas" pile because you hadn't done your sons laundry in a week? Well, that was me this morning (how embarrising, I know!). Jack had NO clean pants, and the ones that were clean don't fit him anymore. So, into my room I went and took a pair of pants stowed away for Christmas. What is a mom to do? (Laundry, right:) ) Anyways, I hope Dusty doesn't read this one...

Trunk or Treat

So, our ward Trunk or Treat was last night - the kids had so much fun. It was great seeing everyone there, and their decorated trunks (my favorite - the Bunjes "Pirate" treasure chest!). I am very thankful to be part of an amazing ward... Our best friends, Katelyn and Morgan

Old Friends are the Best Friends

I sure have met some amazing people in my life. Some old, and some new. One of my oldest, dearest friends is Shawna. I love hearing from her - she is such an amazing person. More than a year ago, Shawna went through a major health "crisis", and now she is doing so well. She has two beautiful children, a great husband, and an awesome mom! I love her lots and think about her all the time.

My best friend Kristina is another person I look up to. If you all could see her teach, you would be inspired. Kristina teaches 1st grade at Ridgeline Elementary. She is such an amazing teacher, and person. We've known each other for about 7 years now, and I am thankful for her everyday.

Well, now in our new ward I have met some of the most inspirational people. I am so blessed to have such great friends. No matter what is going on in my life, they are always there - just a phone call away. There is one particular friend that always seems to be there when I need someone the most (helps me clean my house, feeds my children, makes us cookies, etc. :)) I am so blessed to be surrounded by amazing people. My family thanks you all...

Jack and Dad :)

So, I saw Alyssa's post from today and went on the same website to do my family (the look-alike meter). Very interesting. Jackson looks more like me by ONLY 5% (funny, I know) and Bree looks more like Dusty by only 5%. So, all of you who know Jacks situation can laugh with me on this one.

Too Cute...

So, I had to post this picture. I was looking through some old pictures, and came across this one of Jack at my wedding. He is SO CUTE!! I can't believe he was ever this little. He was such a good boy at the wedding - we only wish he could have been in the temple with us (but he will someday!!):) But, Dusty and I are so blessed to have him in our family. He is such a sweet spirit, and a special little boy. I know that Heavenly Father has great things in store for him!! (what a great missionary he will be:))

Thanks for friends...

"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." -Albert Schweitzer

I have been thinking about all the amazing friends I have met a long the way, and wanted to say thanks for your support and friendship! I know we all at times feel so alone, but I personally am so thankful for each of you and the example you are to me in my life. I know that the trial that I am going through will stay with me forever, but I am so grateful to have friends who make the burden lighter. Thank you, thank you!!!

New York Trip

I know that I keep jumping back a lot, but since I just started "blogging", there is much I want to post. Anyways, Dusty and I got the chance to go back to New York the first weekend of October. It was AWESOME. We went with his mom and dad. American Fork High School Marching Band is performing in this years Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. So, John and I had meetings to go to (Dusty's dad is the band director and I'm the color guard director). But, we got to take Dusty and Pam. It has always been a dream of mine to go to New York (because I am such a theater GEEK!). And, we got to go see Spamalot and Les Miserables on Broadway! It was WAY cool. Spamalot was hilarious, and Les Mis made me cry. We also did a lot of sight seeing (empire state building, rockefeller plaza, ground zero, central park, etc.) and some shopping. But, my highlight was definitely broadway!! Oh, and also being there with Dusty:)

Vineyard Pumpkin Patch

So, I have some catching up to do. We went to the Vineyard Pumpkin Patch on Friday with our friends the Ray' s and Karli and her kids. It was great being able to go together. The kids had a lot of fun. The only bad thing - Jack wasn't there. We sure missed him. After the pumpkin patch, we went back to our house for some pizza and root beer floats. It was great talking with Shannon and Karli. I am so blessed to have such AMAZING friends who are also great examples to me. I learn from them every day!!

Summer Trip

We went to California this summer for our family vacation. We have never really been on a family vacation without the band (AFHS Marching Band). We had a lot of fun! We went to Disneyland the first day, then to the beach and Sea World. I think the kids (and me) liked Disneyland the best, but Dusty definitly DID NOT. He liked Sea World. We stayed with the parents of friends of ours (Jeremie and Amber Arnold).
We also got to spend time with one of our best friends, Pancho. He lives in Brea, CA. We went to dinner at BJ's with him and Michael, and then to breakfast the following morning. It was great to see him and spend time with him.
