Reflection?

So, for some reason this year has been extremely difficult for me - and we are only in March! I am not sure why, but it has definitely been a struggle. I think that some things have changed for me, and I really don't do well with change! It is so easy to get down on yourself when you don't like the way things are going - and I definitely fall in that category.

But, I just need to change. I need to be more positive with myself and my surroundings. I have such a wonderful family and great friends that continue to uplift me and move me in the right direction.

There are just so many aspects of my life that I feel need to be worked on! But, first and most importantly, I need to bring my family closer to Christ. It is so easy to get discouraged about not doing everything you feel you need to as far as scripture reading, prayers, FHE, etc. But, even if we focus on one thing at a time, I believe the rest will fall into place.

I know this is such a random post - but, I want to document for myself my need for a change in my life. I think a good word to describe what I need right now is SIMPLICITY!

I love that word! In fact, I devoted an entire winter guard show to that word - simplicity. We take so much for granted, and try to do so much at once, we just need to live life to the fullest and be happy.

Anyways, if any of you are feeling like me - let's just believe that there is hope:) Hope to be happy, healthy, etc.

Sorry for the randomness. Have a great day:)

Happy Easter

So, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter. It was another crazy busy weekend for us. I wish it would slow down soon. I had another show on Saturday, and with it being Easter weekend, I wish I could have been with my family more!

But, we did have fun. Saturday was our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. The kids had fun. It started at 11 a.m., and by noon all of their candy was gone. Granted, they didn't get to much which was good:)

Then on Sunday we went to Dusty's parents house and had another egg hunt with the cousins. My kids love their cousins, so they had a great time.
I hope you and your families all had a wonderful Easter! I am very thankful for my family, my friends, and most importantly my Savior - who made it possible for me to have such a wonderful life!

Color Guard

So, here are some of my guard videos that some of you have asked about. The top one is this year, and it is only the end of our show. The bottom one is last year's entire show. I will try to record the whole show this coming Saturday.

My girls also did great on Saturday. They have taken 1st at all their shows this year! I am very proud of them:)

And, I really haven't been on the computer all day. We are all sick at our house, so we have been laying around all day. I thought it was a good time to update what is going on at our house...

No, I Am NOT!!!

I wasn't able to go to church on Sunday because I have been so sick this weekend. But, great things are happening I guess...
So apparently on Sunday, Dusty was approached by a friend of ours at church asking him if I am pregnant - WHAT???? I guess our amazing, smart, handsome son Jack has started spreading rumors. He has been telling his friends that I am going to have a baby. Well, I am NOT!!!
Jack, Bree and I were in the car the other day and they asked me why we didn't have a baby. I told them that we aren't ready for one right now, but eventually I hope they will have a little brother or sister. Well, I guess that made up Jack's mind - we are going to have a baby. So, on Sunday we had to break the news to him that we are not having a baby. The things kids say these days...

Jack...

Since we can't get Jack to perform like Bree, I just decided to have him answer some questions...

Singing Bree...

Bree is OBSESSED with the movie Hairspray! She loves watching it, listening to it, anything about it. So, I tried to get her to sing today - and this is what we got...

I have really been trying to make some improvements in my life, and I think that when I don't feel successful at it, then I feel horrible about myself and everything else.

Our Little Dancer

Bree sure loves to dance! Today she told me she was dancing like mommies girls:)

I am not sure what the thing on the floor is (snow angel perhaps?), but I'm pretty sure my high school girls don't dance like that - but you never know! She very well could have learned that move from them.

My girl definitely needs dancing lessons:) She would just LOVE IT!!!
