Well, we were finally able to take a family trip to California - we've been trying to do it for a while now. Boy did I need it! We had the chance to spend lots of time with our great friend Pancho, and 5 days in Disneyland - I know, a lot! But, I loved it. I think the kids did too... :) Dusty on the other hand was done by day 1. But, he was a great sport and let us do what we wanted.
We drove down on Saturday and stayed in Vegas - which the kids hated for some reason. We didn't even do anything. Maybe it was the wind, I don't know. Then we continued to California on Sunday and met Pancho and Michael at their house for dinner. It was great - they cooked us an amazing meal and the kids LOVED playing with Wesley (their dog). I'm pretty sure Wesley slept well that night!
Monday was our first day in Disneyland. It was so much fun. The kids were in heaven and were even hugging each other - weird!! Pancho was able to go with us for a few hours and have lunch with us.
Tuesday was another day in Disneyland. We also met Pancho in Downtown Disney for lunch. On Wednesday, we spent half a day in California Adventures. It was fun, but not as exciting as Disneyland. They were doing a lot of work on that park so some rides were closed. We then went back to the hotel and let the kids swim. We went back to Disneyland that night.
On Thursday Dusty wanted to go to the beach. It was FREEZING! We thought it would be warm because the weather was great, but it was super windy. We only stayed for a few hours and then met our friend Lindsey for lunch (she works with Dusty and just moved to Huntington Beach - lucky!!). We had dinner that night at California Pizza Kitchen with Pancho! It was fun and the kids actually behaved themselves!
Friday we were again in Disneyland, but we did sleep in that morning!! On Saturday Bree, Myles and me went to Disneyland early to go to Mickey's Toon Town. Dusty and Jack met us for lunch and then we headed home. I was not ready to leave, but we had to get back to the real world.
We had a great time. I can't wait until we do it again! It was great being with just the family and spending so much time with Pancho - we love the time we have with him!
(here's a ton of pictures, sorry...) Oh, and you have to check out Myles' hair in his beach photo - classic!!

Missing a Friend Today...
I'm not really sure what's going on today, but my heart is very full! Thoughts are flooding my mind about my friend I lost in October. I miss her! Since I can actually scrapbook now, I did a few pages on her - I then recalled all the events that took place last October and it's hard! This is the time of year that we always complained to each other about winter guard - how I miss her advice!!
Maybe I'm thinking about her today because the sun is not shining very bright - I am sure she is encouraging me to hold tight and that the sun will come out tomorrow. Love ya Heather!

Update
Jack has been doing so much better in school! He has gotten 100% on his spelling tests for the past few months, and he doesn't complain about going anymore. He started hanging out with a boy named Benjamin, and Ben has sure been a blessing for Jack. Ben's dad works with Dusty, and Ben and Jack are in the same class at school. A few months ago, they started hanging out. Now, they are at each others house at least 3 times a week. It has been great for Jack!
Bree is doing great in school as well. She LOVES her preschool and teacher. She definitely excels in her learning. She has also joined a group called Up With Kids that a friend of mine teaches and she just loves it. It is a theater group and I couldn't be more proud :).
Myles is growing like crazy. He sure brings laughter into our home. He is walking everywhere and goes up and down the stairs so well. In fact, if we can't find him we know he has gone downstairs. He has started to say "again", which is so adorable. We sure love him!
Dusty is doing great. Enjoying his job and his calling with the young men. He sure keeps our family going.
I have been struggling a bit these past few months. I have had a hard time getting out of the house - maybe it's just the long winter weather, I don't know. But, hopefully it will turn around soon! My job is going well. I enjoy spending time with my girls and their show this year is amazing! I FINALLY got my scrapbook room put together and we got new furniture for our upstairs office. Hopefully I can start scrapbooking again - it's been almost two years...
My dad is still hanging in there. He has surely gone downhill the past few weeks, but we keep praying he will hang in there.
Hope you all are doing well.
