Shawna Romero

My best friend from childhood, Shawna, passed away last Wednesday. It has been a shock to me and my family. Shawna and I grew up together (since the 1st grade). If I wasn't at her house, than she was at mine. We went through elementary, junior high, and some of high school together before I moved to AF. But, we have remained close ever since. We had just been trying to make plans for our families to get together before this happened, and now I wish we would have!
Some of my favorite memories of Shawna are watching movies and eating chips and salsa and ice cream with strawberry jam (I know, weird...). We did this on a weekly basis. I was her maid of honor at her wedding 11 years ago.
I will miss her dearly and am very thankful for the time I had with her.

Big Surprise

Well, we all thought I was done teaching color guard. Last April I quit teaching at American Fork High School because it got to be too much. And, as of last Wednesday, I am back...
But, the good thing is I am teaching with my good friend Darilyn who has been teaching guard as long as I have. So, we will be able to balance our family and other priorities with color guard.
It has been a VERY stressful week, but very good. It has been wonderful seeing my girls again and reconnecting with them. We have A LOT of work to do, but it will pay off in the end.

So, here we go again... :)

Bree's 1st Day of Preschool

Bree had her 1st day of Preschool today, and she was SO excited to go! Her teachers name is Miss Nikki and she really likes her.
I tried getting some good pictures of her, but she likes to hit funny poses these days...
